The Distillery was engaged by a leading NZ architectural practice to help them develop a clear sense of the future and the mindsets, behaviours, and actions that would help them realise that future. These behaviours were evaluated relative to their current brand behaviours to determine areas of possible improvement.

We used Lego Serious Play and an Appreciative Inquiry Framework in a series of 6 workshops to help staff at all levels in the organisation build models to help them articulate: where they felt most successful in their work; what they value most about themselves and what they do; what gives life to the practice; what the ideal future might look like and how they will contribute to this, and finally; what actions they will take moving forward to ensure their ideal future is realised.

The outputs of the workshops were analysed for key opportunities for improvement in the practice, and these results workshopped with directors and associates to determine how they might best move forward. Out of this came a series of very clear actions and plans which were openly shared with staff.

Feedback from this engagement was very positive at all levels.
